EVENTS
PIRC organises regular events which reflect our desire to engage with our various stakeholders. Our clients have free access to our events, but we welcome company representatives, non-clients and the press to attend too. Each year we provide a regular series of breakfast briefings, seminars and conferences. Each event attracts a wide range of delegates and we provide a broad mix of speakers reflecting investor, corporate and stakeholder interests. Our most recent events have been addressed by representatives of Jarvis plc, PWC, Lloyds TSB Registrars, SWIFT, CGS Spain, BHP Billiton, and Ethos Foundation Switzerland. For our calendar of events, speaking opportunities and sponsorship, contact Janice Hayward at JaniceH@pirc.co.uk.
“PIRC is in the DNA of good corporate governance”
“Let’s not forget how quickly yesterday’s heresy can become today’s mainstream opinion. Ten years ago PIRC was portrayed as pursuing a radical agenda. Now much of what PIRC said in the past is in the DNA of UK corporate governance. Back then many fund managers did not even vote, now the large majority do, and many try and vote intelligently rather than routinely supporting management.“
