PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role will support our data services

KEY JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the data collection and verification that underlies LAPPA and other data services.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

Client Management –

  • Responding to queries and requests for data from clients
  • Discussing the service with clients and to keep them up to date with any changes that may be taking place and take on any feedback they may wish to offer
  • Ensuring client database is updated on a regular basis

Supporting Data Collection

  • Develop a strong understanding about the different formats in which data is received and how the core calculations work.
  • Develop a sound understanding of performance measurement.
  • Run reports

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in managing and visualising large sets of data is desired although not essential
  • Experience In data management/analysis within a business environment

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This is a dual role expected to be about 60/40 split between software development and infrastructure support. Working in a small IT group, you will be expected to design/develop software for internal requirements and in some cases external clients.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Global Researcher – Data Specialist is primarily responsible for sourcing, compiling, and verifying data to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of PIRC’s products and services to agreed timescales in order to meet the company’s objectives.

KEY JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be a consolidated member of the research team, responsible for identifying key ESG trends, recognising and applying them to frameworks of corporate governance of major listed companies globally, engaging with these companies at senior level and voting recommendations to investors in accordance to ESG assessments of the proposals brought to investors at meetings (submitted by the management or shareholders), along with other duties listed below:

  • Sourcing Data.
  • Read source documents and enter data in specific data fields.
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
  • Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.

Extensive use of MS Excel including data collection, checking, and data manipulation.

  • Store completed documents in appropriate locations.
  • Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors.
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
  • Select materials needed to complete work assignments.
  • Processing Information including compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
  • Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Identify personal development goals annually and develop action plans for achievement in order to maximise your personal contribution to PIRC.
